We’d like to #thank all our #volunteers (food preparers/packers, delivery meal drivers, table setters, and servers) and staff who helped make this year’s Thanksgiving Day meal go smoother than expected! Between our residents, low barrier, walk-in #community and delivery to shut-ins, we #served 600+ meals. The day wouldn’t have been a success without you, especially during a time when we’ve all had to make some major adjustments in our lives. Special thanks to Jake Free and his group, who for several years have come in to prepare and serve dinner the evening before Thanksgiving for our residents and community; and to Brighton Chapel, who have faithfully for years come in the evening before to peel potatoes. Also, a special thanks to Ann, our retired cook who returned to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. We love her and know many of you do, too! As that character in the old show The A-Team used to say, “We love it when a plan comes together!” Thank you again, for being a part of our plan!
