Excited About What God Has Given Her
“Mom died when I was six, and my grandparents got custody. My father was in and out of my life. I began rebelling when I was 13 and had my first child at 16.”

A family member introduced Samantha to drugs, and by the time she was 22, she was not only the mother of two children, but a “fully functioning addict”.

A near-death experience caused by a blood infection due to her addiction led her to rehab where she met Jesus and managed to stay clean for two years.

Samantha got her nursing license, but her unhappiness with her renewed addiction and her lifestyle led her from one place to another and one toxic relationship to another.

Clean since November of 2019, and with the help of Faith Mission of Michiana, Samantha is working hard to establish a secure, healthy life for herself and her four children.

Today, Samantha has a car and has recently reestablished her nursing license. “Though I was homeless for three months during the pandemic, I was able to keep my job. Thanks to Faith Mission of Michiana, I have a roof over my head, food in my stomach, and someone I could talk to.”

Samantha is on a waiting list for housing, which she hopes will lead her to having all her children back living with her.

“I’m excited about all the promises God has given me. I had goals, and they have all been met! God has got me, and I have no idea what He still has in store for me.”
