“I’m grateful for the love I’ve been shown.”

When she came to the Mission after living in her car for seven months, Collette was in bad shape. Having worked in transportation for many years, she ended up in poor health and living in a Walmart parking lot. When that became too much, she asked a police officer for help and was referred here.

“With my physical condition – I have to get surgery done on both of my hips – I’m so grateful to be here,” she says. “I’m very grateful to have somewhere safe to stay rather than in my car. They’re very helpful. They’re very patient, and they look out for each person. I’m so thankful for how loving and patient they are.”

“The Overcomers Program has helped me a lot…it’s really opened up my eyes and helped me understand that I’m not a mistake. I’m not worthless.”

Collette is not alone.

“There are a lot of people here who have come through hard times, like sickness, depression and abuse,” Collette says. “Most of them want to be better. They just need a helping hand. They’re people like me.”

Your support provides so much more than meals and shelter. By also providing growth, healing and spiritual renewal, you help transform lives in our community.

“I’m extremely grateful for Faith Mission,” Collette says. “Grateful for the love I’ve been shown and for the counselors and the examples that they set. When people give to support this place, they’re really helping a lot.”

Thank you so much for making a difference in Collette’s life through your prayers and support!
